Combinatio Nova is a continuation in the Dustworks series collating remixes and reinterpretations of Everyday Dust works previously released on Sparkwood Records. The 7 track EP presents a contrasting spectrum of sounds from contributing artists John Lemke, Zenjungle, Panama Fleets, The Elephant Frame, Tafanda, Western Skies Motel and Drust IV - each bringing their own sonic signature and individual qualities to the EP.
Some of the original themes have been developed into new musical ideas where others have been completely de-constructed and reassembled. The original Everyday Dust blueprint has been given new form and function, we present to you the new combination - the combinatio nova.
"This evocative and highly atmospheric compilation sees an eclectic variety of artists reinterpreting tracks from the three album catalog of the enigmatic Everyday Dust including the excellent Multā Nocte with which it was simultaneously released."
- Stationary Travels
"The great thing about Combinatio Nova is that it gets down into the variability of sounds. Everyday Dust’s music feels like such a solid unit, and it can be hard to imagine where one might break apart the component pieces, since each is so subtly woven and integral to the sound as whole. These skilled musicians have done just that, and added their own spin, breathing different life into the music."
